Welcome ToAla Moana
Ala Moana is a walkable and transit-ready urban community in a sustainable environment. It was designed for cultural and income diversity, attracting locals and visitors alike. As a regional retail destination, it is home to the world’s largest open air shopping mall as well as luxury hotels and event centers. The community is accessible via the Honolulu Rail Transit system with transit links between the Ala Moana Center and East Kapolei. The community gets its name from the Hawaiian word for “The path to the sea”, Ala Moana stays true to the aloha spirit of diversity and openness despite its proclivity for upscale retail and entertainment.
